Our Community

This is evidenced by our continued participation as major sponsor of the Unity Cup – an exciting cultural celebration hosted by the Australian Federal Police and the Essendon, Western Bulldogs, Hawthorn and North Melbourne Football Clubs. The event features a multicultural football tournament featuring Muslim, Jewish, African and Indigenous teams, demonstrations from Emergency Services (police, fire) and more. “We are proud to be a major sponsor of the 2012 Community Cup Family Day”, said The Malka Group CEO Mrs Malka Lawrence, adding “this sponsorship is a demonstration of our commitment to a strong and inclusive multicultural society”.

TMG also sponsors several local sporting clubs (e.g. Truganina Soccer Club) and has been welcomed as training partner of choice by a plethora of religious and ethnic community groups, including; Muslim, Sudanese, Cambodian, Chinese, Korean, Lebanese and many more.

Many community organisations and associations partner with us to provide training to their members and volunteers. It may be a major project or event, compliance issue or reward – there is always a great reason to offer vocational learning. A training partnership may even create a new revenue stream to your organisation.
In July 2011 Hume City Council and TMG celebrated the graduation of a very special group of students at a gala ceremony at the Hume Global Learning Centre.
City of Hume Mayor Cr. Helen Patikatheodorou, Councillors and the family and friends of the graduates gathered to recognise 45 high achievers who each worked for and gained the nationally recognised Diploma of Project Management (Event Management). The Council had been looking for a way to reward a large group of volunteers who generously assist in serving the needs of the community. Malka Lawrence, CEO of The Malka Group, recognised that an appropriate way to reward these special people was to give them the opportunity to gain a nationally accredited qualification. According to Malka, “Not only do the individuals gain the recognition they deserve but the Council and indeed the wider community benefits.”
The learning was conducted at The Malka Group venues in Sunbury, Broadmeadows and Dallas and focused on applying the newly acquired skills to real events and projects in the City of Hume itself. The result – a large group of qualified, skilled and highly motivated individuals who will continue to give to the community to an even greater extent.
We are proud to have worked with many large businesses, Government departments, local councils, community groups and SMEs to deliver on key learning and operational projects. Our great reputation has been built on promises kept, budgets met and results achieved for people, productivity and profit. Contact us to discuss your needs. We love a challenge.
