Program Overview

This course is designed for students with intermediate English language skills. They can communicate at an appropriate intermediate level in their social and community life as well as in the workplace. Also designed for students from a non-English speaking background who are looking to develop academic language skills to complete further studies in Australia.

This course prepares students for Further Study and Professional courses in higher education or the VET Sector. The program will prepare students with the essential academic skills needed in essay and report writing, presentations, group work and research. Improved English language and literacy skills will support transition to further education and participation in the English-speaking community.

Entry Requirements

Students must satisfy the following Age, English and Academic requirements:

  • Age: must be 18 years or over
  • English Proficiency Level: an IELTS Band 5 or equivalent OR undertake an English language test at TMG.
  • Academic: Successful completion of Year 12 or its equivalent.
