Program Overview

This course focuses on the development of English language skills to receive, interpret, critically analyse and create a wide range of complex texts to undertake further learning and community access.
This course prepares students for Further Study and Professional courses in higher education or the VET Sector.
The program will prepare students with the essential academic skills needed in essay and report writing, presentations, group work and research. Improved English language and literacy skills will support transition to further education and participation in the English-speaking community.

Entry Requirements

Students must satisfy the following Age, English and Academic requirements:

  • Age: must be 18 years or over
  • English Proficiency Level: an IELTS Band 5.5 or equivalent OR undertake an English language test at TMG.
  • Academic: Successful completion of Year 12 or its equivalent.
