The ACM30417 Certificate III in Companion Animal Services is the industry qualification for persons operating within a companion animal organisation. Job roles covered by this qualification may include: pet shop/aquarium assistant, kennel attendant, cattery attendant, assistant dog trainer, pet exerciser, assistant grooming attendant.

ACMCAS301 – Work effectively in the companion animal industry
ACMSUS201 – Participate in the environmentally sustainable work practices
ACMWHS301 Contribute to workplace health and safety processes
ACMGAS203 – Complete animal care hygiene routines
ACMINF301 – Comply with infection control policies and procedures in animal care work
ACMGAS301 – Maintain and monitor animal health and wellbeing

ACMCAS302 – Provide advice on companion animal selection and general care
BSBCUS301 – Deliver and monitor a service to customers
BSBWOR204 Use business technology
ACMGAS303 – Plan for and provide nutritional requirements for animals
ACMCAN311 – Care for young animals
ACMGAS302 – Provide enrichment for animals
ACMSPE304 – Provide basic care of domestic dogs
ACMSPE305 – Provide basic care of domestic cats
ACMSPE312 – Provide basic care of rodents and rabbits
Credit Transfer and RPL offered: Recognition of prior learning and skills assessment.
There are no entry requirements for this program however Students are required to undertake a Pre-Training Review and a Language Literacy Numeracy and Digital Literacy Assessment.
These will assist with determining suitability and relevance into course entry and identification of any support needs.

In person Classroom Based Training delivered at TMG College Australia sites with a combination of Interactive Workshops with opportunities for Students to undertake Practical Industry Based Simulated Training Activities.

As part of this course, Students will also be required to undertake Work Placement.

Offsite Training
TMG College Australia can deliver Training and undertake Assessments using facilities at a Students Workplace, or in a Mobile Manner (e.g. delivery at a regional/remote location for a specific period or for a specific training course).
Mixed Mode Training
A combination of various delivery modes. Also known as "Mixed Delivery" or "Blended Learning". This includes Virtual, Face to Face and Workplace Based

Skill First Eligibility 1. You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident or New Zealand Citizen. 2. You must not have completed the same AQF level qualification or higher than the course you wish to enrol in, unless under 20 years of age on 1 January this year. 3. You must not have commenced or be scheduled to commence more than two Victorian Government subsidised courses this year; and 4. You must not be currently enrolled in two or more Victorian Government subsidised courses.
Traineeship incentives may be applicable on full time/ part time basis, subject to eligibility. Enrolment fees apply.

We provide Credit Transfer with agreed and consistent credit outcomes for components of qualification if the CT request is equivalent in content and learning outcomes with TMG's matched qualifications.
We provide Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) where student work experience or qualifications of an advanced and related nature have been undertaken. RPL result is subject to the quality and amount of the evidence submitted by the Student to TMG.
