The Clinical Technology Refresh program will provide funding to ‘28 hospitals and health services across Victoria’. This allows the selected recipients to ‘upgrade computers and IT infrastructure to strengthen reliability and cybersecurity’.
Future improvements will include refreshing older network infrastructure, replacing end-of-life systems required to support safe delivery of patient care, new protection against growing sophisticated cyber-attacks and faster network speeds.
‘The $30 million investment follows the more than $46 million invested over the last four years’. With cybersecurity’s importance at the forefront, now is the time to train for an information technology qualification and join the growing industry.
