Thursday 9 September is R U OK? Day. It is a national day of action dedicated to reminding everyone that every day is the day to support those who are struggling in life and to ask: “Are you OK?”.

R U OK?Day aims to encourage people not to wait until someone is visibly distressed or in crisis but to create a meaningful moment and ask them how they’re really going.

According to the World Health Organisation, depression will be one of the biggest health problems worldwide. In Australia, Mental illnesses affect one in five Australians at any given time.

Mental health problems are becoming more and more common in modern people's lives. Therefore, someone you know may be struggling with mental health problems. When facing mental health problems, it is very important to seek professional help.
