This qualification is for anyone interested in improving their skills, confidence and knowledge needed to assist in implementation at educational programs working within an early childhood setting.

Work placement

120 work placement hours (or currently working in the industry). Students must have the current Working With Children Check prior to the commencement of their work placement (WWC Check http://www.workingwithchildren.vic.gov.au/).

CHCLEG001 – Work legally and ethically
CHCPRT001 – Identify and respond to children and young people at risk
HLTAID004 – Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting
HLTWHS001 – Participate in workplace health and safety

Entry Requirements

There are no entry requirements for this qualification. Applicant will be required to successfully complete an ACSF language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) assessment.

Learning, reading, writing, oral communication (ACSF Level 4+) and numeracy (ACSF Level 4) are desirable to participate in the course.
