Course Overview

The CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support qualification provides a nationally recognised qualification delivered with a specialisation in Aged Care & Community Care

This qualification is for people who wish to work in an aged care facility and in the home and community care sector.

Course Structure

Work placement

120 work placement hours (or currently working in the industry) Students must have the current National Police Check prior to the commencement of their work placement (National Police Check https://www.afp.gov.au/what-we-do/services/criminal-records/national-police-checks#process).

  • Workplace Assessment

CHCAGE005 – Provide support to people living with dementia
CHCCCS011 – Meet personal support needs
CHCCCS025 -Support relationships with carers and families
CHCHCS001 -Provide home and community support services
CHCCCS006 -Facilitate individual service planning and delivery

Credit Transfer and RPL offered: Recognition of prior learning and skills assessment


Entry Requirements

There are no entry requirements for this qualification. Applicant will be required to successfully complete an ACSF language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) assessment.

Learning (ACSF Level 2), reading (ACSF Level 2), writing (ACSF Level 3), oral communication (ACSF Level 3) and numeracy (ACSF Level 2) are desirable to participate in the course.
