The building professional may also be the appropriately licensed person with responsibility under the relevant building licensing authority in the state or territory. Throughout the course you will learn the professional skills and knowledge required for the management, supervision and administration of residential, industrial and commercial building projects.

  • Entry Requirements

    Intended overseas students must satisfy the following requirements: 

    • Age: Must be 18 years or over  
    • English proficiency level: An IELTS Band 5.5 or equivalent OR undertake a TMG College Australia English language test 
    • Successful completion of Year 12 or its equivalent

    Students are required to undertake aLanguage Literacy Numeracy and Digital Literacy Assessment. These will assist with identification of any support needs.

    78 weeks (including 18 weeks of holidays).

  • Delivery Mode

    Face to Face Training 

    In person Classroom Based training delivered at TMG College Australia sites. Face to Face delivery includes both theory and practical activities which are supported by structured Work Placement. 

    Offsite Training 

    TMG College Australia can deliver training and undertake assessments using facilities at a Students Workplace, or in a Mobile Manner (e.g. delivery at a regional/remote location for a specific period or for a specific training course).  

    Mixed Mode Training 

    A combination of various delivery modes. Also known as "Mixed Delivery" or "Blended Learning". This includes Online, Face to Face and Workplace Based.

  • Your Career

    The following employment pathways are available to learners who complete this program:

    • Builder (Commercial or Domestic)
    • Completion of the general induction training program specified by the National Code of Practice for Induction Training for Construction Work (ASCC 2007) is required before entering a construction work site. Achievement of unit CPCCOHS1001A covers this requirement.
    • Additional units of competency may be required to meet builder registration requirements in various States and Territories.


    *Licensing regimes for building and Construction differ between States and Territories in Australia.
