FNS60217 Advanced Diploma of Accounting reflects the role of individuals working in accounting and seeking professional recognition, including tax agents, accounts managers and business analysts; and to employees performing a range of accounts management tasks for organisations in a range of industries.
At this level individuals are expected to apply theoretical and technical skills in a range of situations and to display initiative and judgement in planning activities. They have autonomy in performing complex operations and can be responsible for planning, coordinating and evaluating the work of others within broad but generally well-defined parameters.

FNSINC601 – Apply economic principles to work in the financial services industry
FNSINC602 – Interpret and use financial statistics and tools
Elective Subjects:
FNSTPB503 – Apply legal principles in consumer and contract law
FNSTPB504 – Apply legal principles in corporations and trust law
FNSTPB505 – Apply legal principles in property law
FNSACC601 - Prepare and administer tax documentation for legal entities
FNSACC614 - Prepare complex corporate financial reports
FNSPRM601 - Establish, supervise and monitor practice systems to conform with legislation and regulations
*FNSACC608 – Evaluate organisation’s financial performance
*FNSACC609 – Evaluate financial risk
*FNSACC610 – Develop and implement financial strategies
*FNSACC613 – Prepare and analyse management accounting information
FNSFMK505 – Comply with financial services legislation and industry codes of practice
* Unit in this qualification contains prerequisite unit requirement
FNSACC608, FNSACC609 and FNSACC610 require prerequisite unit FNSACC511.
FNSACC613 requires prerequisite unit FNSACC517
Completion of both FNSSS00014 Accounting Principles Skill Set and FNSSS00015 Advanced Accounting Principles Skill Set;
OR
Completion of FNS50215 Diploma of Accounting;
OR
Completion of FNS50217 Diploma of Accounting.
Students are required to undertake a Pre-Training Review and a Language Literacy Numeracy and Digital Literacy Assessment.
These will assist with determining suitability and relevance into course entry and identification of any support needs.

Facilitator Led Virtual Online classes
Face to Face Training
In person Classroom Based training delivered at TMG College Australia sites. Face to Face delivery includes both theory and practical activities which are supported by structured Work Placement.
Structured Work Placement
As part of this course, students will also be required to undertake Work Placement in a Regulated Building and Construction Environment
Offsite Training
TMG College Australia can deliver training and undertake assessments using facilities at a Students Workplace, or in a Mobile Manner (e.g. delivery at a regional/remote location for a specific period or for a specific training course).
Mixed Mode Training
A combination of various delivery modes. Also known as "Mixed Delivery" or "Blended Learning". This includes Virtual, Face to Face and Workplace Based.
A further learning pathway could be study in relevant higher education programs.
Graduates at this level will have theoretical and practical knowledge and skills for specialised and/or skilled work and/or further learning. Careers may include:

Skill First Eligibility Criteria 1. You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident* or New Zealand Citizen. 2. You must not have completed the same AQF level qualification or higher than the course you wish to enrol in, unless under 20 years of age on 1 January this year. 3. You must not have commenced or be scheduled to commence more than two Victorian Government subsidised courses this year; and 4. You must not be currently enrolled in two or more Victorian Government subsidised courses.
Traineeship incentives may be applicable on full time/ part time basis, subject to eligibility. Enrolment fees apply.
*Formal confirmation of permanent residence granted by the Department of Home Affairs (or its successor) AND the student’s foreign passport or ImmiCard required

We provide Credit Transfer with agreed and consistent credit outcomes for components of qualification if the CT request is equivalent in content and learning outcomes with TMG's matched qualifications
We provide Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) where student work experience or qualifications of an advanced and related nature have been undertaken. RPL result is subject to the quality and amount of the evidence submitted by the Student to TMG.
