SITHFAB005 Prepare and Serve Espresso Coffee is a nationally recognised, accredited 2-day course, is designed for you to obtain current industry knowledge and skills required to enable you to work as a barista, in cafes, restaurants or hotels.
What you’ll learn:
– Select and grind coffee beans
– Extract and serve espresso coffee using commercial espresso machines.
– Extract and monitor quality of espresso
– Undertake milk texturing process
– Clean espresso equipment
– Limited to 9 students per class.
The training will include a theory component where you will discover the history of how the original cherry is harvested, through to becoming the roasted coffee bean as we know it today. The practical component will have you making Espresso, Ristretto, Doppio, Macchiato, Latte, Flat White, Mocha, Long Black and Cappuccino from unlimited milk and coffee.
You will receive a SITHFAB005 Prepare and Serve Espresso Coffee Statement of Attainment at the end of your accredited barista training.
Note: to be eligible to complete this course, you’ll need to have completed the Food Handling certificate ‘SITXFSA001 Use hygienic practices for food safety.’
Class begins at 9am – 3.30pm on Thursday, and the next day (Friday) from 9am – 3.30pm.
