- First Aid – HLTAID003 Provide first aid
The introduction to our community services program prepares you to start in a career where you may work and help disadvantaged and vulnerable members of society.
The Community Services stream will give you a taste of the kind of work you could be doing to provide care for others. This stream also includes an accredited first aid course which is imperative when working in community centres, aged care facilities and child care centres.
Participants in our training program get a guaranteed job interview.
Our two week program lets you choose one of five industry areas to focus on, including hospitality, retail, community services, animal services and hairdressing. Your trainer will give you personalised advice on how to break into the workforce and will provide you with the opportunity to interview with an employer of your selected industry.
Over the first week you will practice resume writing perfection, telephone interview skills, personal presentation (dress to impress), face-to-face interview tips/tricks, and understand workplace etiquette.
During the second week you will focus on your chosen industry, learn a whole new range of skills and knowledge surrounding them, and prepare to enter the workplace! If you’re successful in your interview, you’re on your way to a traineeship, a new job, and a career.
This program will run over a total of 2 weeks (Monday – Friday) at TMG College City Campus – 411 King Street, West Melbourne, from 9.30am – 3.30pm each day.
