Want to work in a kitchen? Or do you consider yourself a master mixologist? Start with our introduction to hospitality program for practical information about joining one of the most diverse industries in Australia. Learn to work in cafes, bars, restaurants and more! In our espresso class you will learn how to make the perfect cup of coffee. In our food safety course you will learn how to serve and prepare food in a safe and hygienic way. In our responsible service of alcohol course, you will learn the necessary skills to serve correct portions of alcohol.

Participants in our training program get a guaranteed job interview.

Our two week program lets you choose one of five industry areas to focus on, including hospitality, retail, community services, animal services and hairdressing. Your trainer will give you personalised advice on how to break into the workforce and will provide you with the opportunity to interview with an employer of your selected industry.

Over the first week you will practice resume writing perfection, telephone interview skills, personal presentation (dress to impress), face-to-face interview tips/tricks, and understand workplace etiquette.

During the second week you will focus on your chosen industry, learn a whole new range of skills and knowledge surrounding them, and prepare to enter the workplace! If you’re successful in your interview, you’re on your way to a traineeship, a new job, and a career.

This program will run over a total of 2 weeks (Monday – Friday) at TMG College City Campus – 411 King Street, West Melbourne, from 9.30am – 3.30pm each day.
